A PLACE - Poem by Paul Glantzman

Paul Glantzman

Turn inward in sadness
To the darkest corners of the mind.

Stagger and stumble
Through its deserted alleys,
Where once there was
Life and laughter,
And now there is
Silence and stench.

You is in youth,
And now is nowhere.
You fear me.
For you know that
I was once you...
And you will be me.

Don't touch me,
For I can not feel you.
Don't look at me,
For I can not look back.
Now I have a place,
A peace, which is all mine.

Paul--I like it !
