A mom of a newly diagnosed T1 mentioned that her daughter felt burning all over her body with her first injection of long acting insulin. Now the burning happens whenever she sweats. There is also a possibility of rheumatoid arthritis, but the burning sensation happening after the first injection makes the insulin much more likely to be the culprit. There isn’t really too much info on the web or in the PI’s.
i would see a dermatologist and an endo.
long acting insulin burns at the injection site - that’s pretty normal.
a severe anxiety attack can make you feel like you are on fire, so can a allergic reaction. My guess is the anxiety but I think some medical help is necessary. good luck.
