I’m thinking about getting the one touch ping for my first insulin pump. I was just wondering if it’s a good pump to start out with.
In my opinion, of the major 3, Animas, Minimed and Omnipod, they are all great pumps. Pick the one you like even if it comes down to the color.
I would suggest you see how you like each customer service, and another thought is to check with your insurance, in case they have a better deal on one versus the other. good luck.
My name is Amelia and I have been using an Animas pump for forever. I currently have the ping and love it,however the meter does not communicate with the pump from far away. I don’t know how old you are, but it works best with younger kids. I like the animas pump, but find that i don’t use the tester as much anymore because they are better meters.
If you are older I might suggest a newer pump. For example, we have just ordered the t-slim pump, but I don’t know much about it yet and the ping is not a bad pump.
