Are mail order syringes different from drugstore syringes in performance?

Our daughter was diagnosed type 1 approximately 4 months ago.  The first batch of BD brand syringes (Ultra-fine needle) from CVS injected almost without notice.  My understanding us that the needle is coated or lubricated in a manner to facilitate injection.  We received a huge mail order of the same exact syringes and they are more difficult to insert the needle and the plunger offers more resistance, resulting in pushing the plunger harder which causes the insulin to inject faster thus increasing discomfort.

Does anyone have similar experiences or any kind of POV on this?

Call mfg. I had a small problem, they took care of it. I get all mine by mail.
