Banana Bread

I was just wondering is there a way to make low carb banana bread?



My issues with things like banana bread tend to be because of the white flour and sugar.  A lot of the time it is easy to simply not use as much sugar because recipes often call for excessive amounts of sugar.  Also, substituting whole wheat flour for all or part of the white flour helps prevent spikes in blood sugar.  If you like using artificial sweeteners, those are another option.

Title: Better Banana Bread


1 cup mashed very ripe bananas (About 3 small)
1/2 cup plain fat-free yougurt
4 tablespoons margarine,melted
1 egg
1 egg white
7 1/4 teaspoons of equal or 1 cup of Equal spoonful
1 teasoon vanilla
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teasoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 to 1/2 cup walnut pieces (optional)

Pour batter into one 8 1/2 x 4-inch
Bake in preheated 350 o Foven until bread is golden

Number Of Servings:makes 1 lofa

This sounds delicious. I'm going to make this at home.



oooooOOOOOoooo, that recipe does sound good! I think I'll make that tonight actually, since I've been looking for something easy to grab for breakfast on the way out the door! Glad I came across this post!
