Hello everyone my name is Felicia. I am 21 years old and was diagnosed in 2003. I have had diabetes for a while now but continue to struggle with it. It would be nice to talk to people who understand what I am going through. I have a wonderful support group but those individuals just see what I am dealing with and don’t know what it’s really like. I am looking to find friendships with other type 1’s. Whether you are newly diagnosed or have had it for a while I’d love to hear your story.

Hi Felicia,

I’ve struggled with diabetes for 6 years now, and I continue to work on it every day (it Never seems to surprise me lol). I am currently right now learning/working through the transition of moving to college. I’ve found the best support is through this website, T1D camps, College Diabetes Network, and other sites. I’ve had diabetes for almost 4 years now and I just joined this site and started talking to people like myself. Feel free to message me anytime if you want to talk! :slight_smile: I’m currently in the process of moving in the college in the fall so its going to take some time to transition from living at home!

I had my sticky friend for 3 years and i’m doing well and its cool to see people who are like me i never had any friend until i joined this site and that makes me feel good and i always like to share whatever is going on.

Heyy Felicia:) I am 18 and had diabetes since I was 11. I have been through it all, starting on 2 injections per day, then 4 and now I’m on the pump… It has been the best for me. I am in my first year of Uni. It would be great to talk​:blush::blush::blush:

Hi Felicia,

I have type 1 diabetes frm 6 months now, I’m going through ups and downs of blood sugars … More stable now… Doing research on my own and experiments on my body is now my hobby from 6 months… My family members r also useless for me in matter of it… It wud be nice tlkng to u :slight_smile:

Hi Felicia,

I’m 23 and was diagnosed in '99 so 17 years ago now! I still struggle with having diabetes sometimes, like you I have great support from family but they don’t know what it’s really like to be dealing with it day in day out. Would be nice to hear from you :slight_smile:
