Does anyone have any experience with treating type 1 with Eastern medicine? I was diagnosed 4 weeks ago and have been on insulin since. Through recommendations of several friends I went to an eastern medicine doctor today who wanted me to start a variety of teas and herbal supplements (with my insulin) to get my body back in sync. He says he has helped many type 1 diabetics and I am curious to hear if anyone else has had experience with this.
So when your insulin , exercise and diet control your glucose he can take credit for it? A priest from an eastern religion insisted that meditating while staring at the sunrise will cure diabetes.
Hang on to your wallet. Controlling diabetes is hard work and wasting your time trying to add "woo" to your regimen will complicate it even more.
