The Tandem tech had me test the tubing and cannula after pulling it out and one was clogged and the one that was pulled out 1 hour before was dripping insulin so that left us without a solution to the problem and he did say that he had to go talk to someone else there at Tandem to help decide whether it could be a pump malfunction. When I got a callback from them, I was told the insulin would behave that way if it was contaminated so that’s what I’ve been testing.
So far, I haven’t had a problem with the latest Novolog. It’s been 31 hours and no problems so I’m getting my hopes up that it was just bad insulin.
