Graphics?

I make scrabble tile pendants and I want to make some type one or even Juvenation tiles. I cant seem to find any really cute t-1 images. Does anybody have some they would like to share with me? I made some autistic ones and 2 bucks from every sale is going to go to the autism program my boys are in at school. I figured if I did t-1 tiles I would do the same and donate 2 bucks to JDRF for every tile I sell. I just cant seem to find any images I think people would want to buy and my graphic making skills are well I just dont have any lol. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi Jessica,

I don't have any images, but I would really like to see the pendants. Do you have a website or picture you can post?

I am not a graphic or logo designer, but I am an artist and I've been thinking of some type of simple, modern image that could best represent T1 Diabetes.  It's really hard!  There's so much involved, and we don't have any specific symbols that can identify us distinguishably from T2 Diabetes.  If I come up with something, I'll definitely share.

Btw, I would also love to see your tile pendants.  I think that's a chic idea!

ooh! this is such a good project! Maybe we could get ideas of what people think represents T1 and go from there.

Also, have you been on the TuDiabetes site? They have artists forums and you might get some ideas there.

Because you ladies asked I will spam my etsy store lolI have no clue how to post a pic on this board or I would do that.

No I have not been on the TuDiabetes site. I will have to look.

Mostly all I have found is the gray awareness ribbon with the blood drop. Well for a 9 yo girl that is not cute and well boring lol. I cant even find graphics that say type one diabetic . I wish I knew how to make them. I would like to make myself a I <3 a T-1 pendant or a T-1 loves me pendant. There are a ton of autistic ones like that. Still I would like to spread awareness and print out little info cards about T-1 along with the tiles. Tho most people who would buy one already know what it is all about.

I am have a few people who are going to work on some for me woot. I am just going to put t-1 on images I like flowery stuff for girls and I guess sports stuff for boys the tiles are not made for the really young because of their size they could be a choking hazard. Then I will find some for teens and adults.

I LOVE those tiles!  See, now why can't T1 have a cool symbol like Autism does with the puzzle piece?  And, why is it so hard to come up with one for T1?   I can make font graphics if you'd like.  That's easier to do than coming up with a symbol.

Ok, just thought of something and it's a rough sketch, but what about something like this?  http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/MZifMMw-n_RTlVzj-uCoKLVEJNC_g87We-vOCSzyAC0?feat=directlink  The "T-1" does not have to be put in the palm of the hand.  Also, the pinky can be in the closed position so that it's just the pointer finger up w/the thumb out as if showing the drop of blood, instead of the sign language sign for "I love you".  Another variation could be 2 hands together creating the heart shape with the fingers and thumbs and then a drop of blood dripping down from the fingers at the bottom of the "V" in the heart so the blood drip looks like a pendant hanging in the middle of the heart.  I don't know...just some ideas started to flow a little.

Here are sketches of the other variations I was talking about:  http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/7WIi9ht9jx0xX2oYoOK3u7VEJNC_g87We-vOCSzyAC0?feat=directlink

The one with just the pointer up reminds me of this:

The ADA's Stop Diabetes symbol.

Whoa!  Eerily similar.  I've never seen that before.  I guess I should have done more research, then again...I'm not really a graphics or logo designer.

Scrappy that is such a cute idea! I love it!!! I really love what is happening in this forum!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love those scrappy! Even hand drawn like that would look so cute on a tile! I didnt have time yesterday to find background images to send to my friends for them to write on hopefully today I will!

Ok I sent my friends some of this mixed with some of other things to see what they come up with. Hopefully something lol. I have no idea how much they can actually do and what they cant so my fingers are crossed. I will share their end results.

Maybe so but its still very boring and not cute for a 9 year old girl. She wouldnt want to wear it.
