This is so cool Terry!  I've always thought smart insulins were the way diabetes would be treated in the future.  But they weren't working well enough yet.  This technology sounds like it might be a step forward.

Very cool.  I am rooting for a smart insulin approach over a computerized artificial pancreas.  Seems a much better solution.

I think the way diabetes will be cured though is to manipulate the DNA so you don't get it in the first place.  That's my futuristic science fiction like prediction.
