Online Pump Training

I know that Medtronic MiniMed has something called "Pump School Online" to help people learn more about using the pump... Beyond that, I have not seen many other online resources for "formal" training and education.  I have a few questions on this topic...

1.  How many people have used Pump School Online and for those that have, was it useful?

2.  Has anyone come across any other useful online resources for training or education (either general to pump therapy or specific to a manufacturer's pump)?

3.  If such a resource did exist, would you use it?

4.  If such a resource did exist, what kinds of features, tools, components, and functionalities would you find helpful?

Thank you in advance for any comments or feedback.  fg

I've never heard of an online "pump school" though I can't see why it wouldn't exist.

I just got the training from the nurse appointed by Animas (I'm not on a Medtronic pump), and when I first freaked out over all the steps to changing my set, I asked her if she could send me a pdf of the instructions written out for me, and she did.

I would really just stay in close contact with the nurse that trained you if you feel you need more online support.

If said resource existed, I don't think I would use it, but that's because I feel fairly confident in my use, so I can't comment on if others would find it useful.

I'm not sure what else to suggest. I think if you want to do it, then do it. Even if you only help a handful of people, then a handful of people will have a better quality of life because of it. There aren't many type 1 Diabetics, and I feel we get a bit jipped in the personal support department, so if only a few benefit from your information and time, then it's a great thing! :)

Good luck.
