So, I'm really wanting a tubeless insulin pump as I'm finding that my Minimed Paradigm is getting in the way of my work, being snagged on work tables, tools, etc. (No matter how tucked away I have it, it always seems to find it's way out.) Anyway, I've been searching and searching, but most articles I find about tubeless pumps are kind of confusing as they never seem to say exactly when one is out on the market and available for the U.S. My question is, is the Omnipod the only available tubeless pump in the US market to date? I was really hoping the Solo would be available this summer, but I just got a letter from them saying that it will not be available in the US Market until 2012 now.
I'm a little hesitant of the Omnipod due to its bulkiness. I'm constantly having to fit myself into tight spaces for work and hold flats up against my body...so, does anyone who has been using the Omnipod ever experience the pod getting ripped out if bumped/snagged against something?
Thanks for your opinions!
