Hi. I’m very new to this. My 10 year old was just diagnosed T1 last week. School begins tomorrow after Christmas break and I’m trying to figure out snacks and lunches for her during the week. She is a picky eater, of course. any suggestions??? She used to take a PB & J sandwich and a yogurt with a snack or 2 and juice. Obviously we get rid of the juice (which she’s ok with b/c she is a water drinker anyway). The sandwich and yogurt alone come out to 72 carbs - much higher than the 60-70 I was told to stick to.
I need some ideas on free snacks and how to lower the carb count for lunch. PLEASE!!!
