Sunburns and Bloodsugars

What happens to your bloodsugars when you get a really bad burn?  Has anyone had a tendency to skyrocket?

Yes, yes, yes.  I've had my time with sunburns growing up.  The sun dehydrates you. So the longer you cook the more dehydrated you become.  You have to drink and drink a lot if you plan a day at the beach.

Hi Ashley~ The red color of one's skin in response to overexposure to the sun is from the dilated capillaries in your skin.  They dilate to release fast blood flow to and from  the site of the burn to allow as quickly as possible healing to occur.   Your skins natural response is an "inflamation" and any inflamation in your body is going to increase BS's regardless of what kind of inflamation. Hope that is helpful.
