I am SOOO sorry to vent, and I know you all mean well, but ... OMG!! If one more person sends me some "helpful" article about how diabetics CAN enjoy Halloween if they only have some crazy treats no one else wants, I will scream. Okay, sorry, vent is all done.
I know what you mean Sarah. I was "invited" to a group doctors appointment a week ago (it came as a scheduled appointment, so I took a 1/2 day off work and went), and they only thing they talked about was Halloween! I'm not an idiot. I have enough common sense to deal with Halloween treats. But honestly, we've always tossed probably 90% of the candy. Sarah picks out a few chocolate pieces and eats about 1 small piece every day or so for a few days, then forgets about it, then it ends up in the trash (I don't pass it on because honestly, candy isn't good for anyone...).
Anyway, as much as I love her Endo group, it sort of annoyed me that I wasted so much time on something that wasn't helpful. If they'd called and told me what the meeting was about, I wouldn't have attended.
