I know this is just the #1 annoyance, but there are two things that really annoy me on the one touch ping. First of all, I always forget about my pump when I have to pull my pants down to use the bathroom, so the tubing always gets yanked... Additionally, possibly the most annoying thing with the meter-remote is that putting in the carbs or insulin scrolls through either too slow or too fast. Anything less than 10 carbs or more than 100 is fairly easy to put it, but it just zooms right over those common 'middle' numbers. Oddly, the actual pump has a far superior scrolling speed, so if I'm not checking my bg before a snack I tend to just use my pump if it's convenient.
LOL - I thought it was just my 5 y/o son that had problems with the pump/pants/bathroom situation. ;) We solved that issue by having him wear a pump pack, so it stays around his waist.
But seriously, I was just thinking it was our Ping meter that had the crazy scrolling button - I agree - it FLIES in the carb count so you stuck hitting the up button 50 times instead of being able to scroll to it. Good to know it is others. I work in the med device industry and that stuff should be tested out before a product is released. The prime warning is probably a 'safety' mechanism (I can just imagine the arguments that would go on about that) but the scrolling is just poor design execution. Partly I started this discussion to know what other people have problems with and back me up when I talk with Animas.
