What will you do first when a cure is found

Just thought it would be interesting to see what the first thing everyone will do when they find the cure.

Probably not much of a change. Just not put in my pump anymore and maybe eat peanut butter cups for a day or two.

go to a targe range put all the stuff i have in a box and blow it up.

Go and buy the biggest DQ Ice Cream cake I can find, and give it to my daughter. DQ is something she loves, but dosen't want to eat anymore, because she hates doing large doses of insulin, and the carb content is outrageous for DQ. The family always got the DQ cakes for birthdays, and we have since stopped doing so because we don't ever want her to have to decide between taking a shot or partaking of dessert. I am going to sit her down with the cake in front of her and let her eat it to her heart's content!

Then, I am going out to a friends house in the country with all the supplies, and use every method I can think of to blow them all up while doing the happy dance!

After that, I will probably have to sit down and have a good cry.

smash all my supplies! maybe not my pump though... maybe i wil keep that as a souvenir

here's a pretty recent thread about what you would do if a cure was found. hope it helps.

I would sleep ALL NIGHT and overcome insomnia.  Luka (my son) would eat a vat of Sesme Chicken, Cheetos and ice cream and will play outside morning till night because he will not  have to come in to test.  Yea, I dream big!

I'll eat McDonalds and go out and celebrate!!!!! I'll propably throw in a few kartweels in there somewhere out of pure joy!

cry. i would be so happy i wouldn't know what to do with myself.

I love dates. I would probably make myself sick by eating a bucket or two full of dates for a few days. I would recycle what supplies I could, and throw the rest away. I would proably walk around bare foot more often too :)

Im going to Dairy Queen and going to eat so many Peanut Buster Parfaits that i will probably end up with Diabetes again.

Your post made me laugh along with the fact that Peanut Buster Parfaits are a favorite with all my men!   Um...my two sons and husband, that is!  LOL

I would go and run as long and as fast as I could until I could run no longer without even thinking about my bloodsugar.

whew...all yer men... :) thanks for clarifying lol. just kiddin

yeah i dont know what it is bout the parfaits. its just the man snack for betes. cant wait til the day i can have one again. thats funny though that others have the crave for the PBparfait.

Eat millions  of hgh carb foods and have a huge bonfire with all my diabetic supplies!!!!

I would probably die of shock.

Hmmm, hadn't thought about it really.  Most likely torch all my supplies and toast the fire with a cold beer.

i would probably not believe whoever told me and then i would scream at the top of my lungs!! then i would invite all my diabetic friends over and have a party with all kinds of high carb food AND NOT TEST OR GIVE INSULIN!!!! i would smash all my stuff with a hammer.... but not my pink pump

Well I wouldn't smash my stuff, its served me well.. I kind of feel like my supplies are my allies. I think I would do some kind of sport all day, maybe biking or something with some friends, of course not worrying about testing or x-carbing, then go for some awesome dinner with a lot of beer, and of course finish the night with... X-large brownie batter blizzard from DQ?

I would probably go to DQ and get the biggest m&m blizzard. I would probably get sick after I ate it but it would still be good. I would also eat all the bread I want and pasta. I would smash my supplies too. I don't know if I would smash my pump but everything else would have to go.
