Anyone in here from North Carolina? I need a local support system as I don’t have any diabetic friends my age. I’m 20, diagnosed at 7. My a1c isn’t the best . I have a lot of mental issues which make it hard for me to take care of myself. I can’t drive because of my mental illness which causes me to black out when I’m highly stressed or anxious. So it’s hard for me to have really a social life outside of the older people I work with.

I see there are a few events listed that you may be able to attend and meet other PwD; give those a try… You can also contact the Chapter - phone, email - and find other happenings close to where you live.
