I think a great p[lace to start would be to search the JDRF chapter locations: go to this site https://www.jdrf.org/chapter-finder/ and put your location in.

The Chapters often have fundraisers and you can network with other parents there. They also have online events you can take advantage of.

Don’t forget to try connecting with other parents at the endo’s office. You could also ask if the office would be willing to share your contact info with other parents.
I was diagnosed 60 years ago at age 3 and am doing well. In sure it’s scary having a child diagnosed so young, but you have great technology and knowledge to guide you.
I highly recommend you check out the book Think Like a Pancreas by Gary Scheiner. He has Type1 diabetes and works in the field so has a unique personal perspective that is particularly helpful.
